Mindo, Ecuador (Zip-lining heaven!)

Our trip to Mindo, Ecuador (2 hrs from Quito) with our new friends was awesome. This small town is known for adventure sports like rafting and zip lining. On the drive up we made a pitstop at a breathtaking volcanic crater where we encountered super-fast clouds sweeping through.

The following morning we drove about 3km to the zip lining center where we were given a harness, gloves and a helmet and we were introduced to our two guides for the day.

Though slightly nervous at the beginning not knowing exactly to expect, after the first zip line we were both rearing to go for more. As we hiked to higher zip lines we were asked if we wanted to perform the 'butterfly´ pose or the 'superman´ pose, both of which share some similarities with 'the karma sutra. Needless to say, it was an insane rush and an amazing experience.

After our friends went back to their "real-lives" in Quito, we concluded our adventures in Mindo on a gorgeous, Indian-Jones like hike through the rain forests, splashing about in freeeeeezing, but stunning waterfalls. Yep, our lives are awesome!

Medellin Madness (Belated Blog Post)

Belated Blog Post From Medellin, Columbia...

Before heading to Ecuador, we stopped through Pablo Escobar territory. After plunging to the depths of the ocean in Cartagena, the sky was the limit. Paragliding in mountain-encased Medellin was out of this world!
